Adult Figure Skating Championship 2010

Our Mission:

To provide a center for excellence in figure skating, using the highest ethical standards, for those interested in the sport.

We are proud to announce that the 2010 U.S. Adult Figure Skating Championship has been awarded to our club. This exciting event will take place April 14-17, 2010 at the Bloomington Ice Garden and is expected to attract over 3,000 people including 600 competing athletes, their families, coaches and officials to Bloomington over the five day event. Participants come from all over the United States to compete.

The event crowns a total of 8 national champions in the Championship Events: Championship Masters Free Skate, Championship Adult Gold Free Skate, Championship Adult Dance, Championship Adult Pairs. Numerous other national champions are awarded in the open events offered at the U.S. Adult Championships. Competitors in this annual event are divided into five age categories (21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60 and 61+) and two competitive tracks (masters and adult). Events are held in singles, pairs, ice dancing and interpretive. Skaters in the Championship Events need to qualify for this competition qualify for the championship and championship gold events by placing in the top four places at one of three sectional championships held earlier in the year.

This is the first time the U.S. Adult Championships will be held in Minnesota.
