The Figure Skating Club of Bloomington features seven experienced, accomplished professional coaches who will help your skater reach their full potential. All coaches are members of the Professional Skaters Association (PSA) and have coached state champions, as well as regional and national competitors.
Kelly has been coaching for more than 20 years. An accomplished choreographer, Kelly has coached State Champions, as well as Regional and Junior National competitors. She is PSA rated for Registered Moves and Certified Freestyle.
Kate is the 2009 Canadian Junior Champion, a 6 time Minnesota State Champion, a Junior Grand Prix silver medalist (Croatia Cup) and 6 time competitor, a World Junior competitor, and competed in the 2010 Olympic trials where she placed 7th. She represented Canada through her competitive international skating career. Kate has skated for 21 years, taught Learn to Skate for 9 years, and private lesson coached for 5 years.
Lorie has coached State Champions, Regional and National competitors, and two National Champions. She is PSA Master-rated in Freeskating and a PSA Level V National Ranked Coach. Lorie is a Figure Skating Gold Medalist and turned professional in 1982.
Rene has coached State Champions, as
well as Regional, Sectional and National competitors. She has coached skaters through U.S. Figure Skating Association Gold Tests,
and is a PSA Category A Coach. In addition, Rene is the Director of the Bloomington Ice Garden Skate School.
Mary has coached State and Regional Champions, as well as Regional and National competitors. She is PSA-rated in Moves in the Field and Freestyle. Mary has been a Skate School instructor for more than 20 years and is the FSC of Bloomington Junior Club Coordinator.

Lauren Walstead has a Bachelors in Kinesiology from the University of Northwestern with an emphasis in health and wellness as well as pre-therapy and a Masters from the University of MN in sport and exercise performance. In addition
to general fitness training, Lauren is trained in Stott Mat and Reformer Pilates. She has been training skaters all over the Twin Cities since 2013. Lauren is also a former skater and member of the FSCB.
Jennifer Jenkins is a trained professional dancer with a BA in Dance from Point Park College in Pittsburgh. In 2003 she was hired as Director of Dance at the Lake Placid Olympic Training Center to oversee, teach and give private dance lessons to
aspiring Olympic skaters. From 2005-2008 she taught guest master classes in New Jersey, New York and throughout the Midwest. Jennifer is also certified as a Master Yoga instructor/Trainer and a LifePower 500RYT Instructor.
