Requirements
We have many ways you can become involved in the Figure Skating Club of Bloomington to meet our new club Service Requirement Policy effective January 1, 2011.
This updated policy was designed to clarify the responsibility of all members in contributing to the running of the club and to recognize those members that contribute more than the required 20 hours each year.
- Home Club Member families need to contribute a minimum of 20 hours per year to the club.
- Members who work more than 20 hours each year may earn coupons for ice time
- Each contract requires submission of 5 vouchers to meet the 5 hour requirement. Unfulfilled hours are charged at $15 per hour
- Additional hours are required in years that the FSC hosts a competition. The hours vary depending on the level of the competition.
- All member families need to submit their service hours (starting January 1) to the Service Coordinator, at: volunteer@fscbloomington.org;
There are many ways to get involved, check out the website for the latest list or contact a board member. None of these responsibilities or positions needs to be done alone. Grab a friend or meet someone new!
Service Opportunities
- Each family is asked to submit the Service Hours Opportunities form to indicate which responsibilities you are interested in. The club's Service Coordinator will contact you, as needs arise in your area of interest. If you are currently fulfilling your hours with a responsibility, please turn a form in annually to renew your commitment. This will allow us to plan for the many responsibilities, activities and events of the Club while allowing you to select your role. - Report your family's service hours to our club service coordinator on a regular basis. Please submit the following information:
- Name of skater(s)
- Date of Activity
- Volunteer Name
- Description of Activity
- Total Number of Hours
