To provide a center for excellence in figure skating, using the highest ethical standards, for those interested in the sport.
What is the Volunteer Voucher Program? The Volunteer Voucher Program allows families to earn vouchers (FSCBucks) to offset the Volunteer Fee. Each voucher is worth $10 in FSCBucks. They have no cash value.
How much is the volunteer fee? There is a volunteer fee of $50 per family for each contract (Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring)
How does the program work? As you volunteer, you earn one voucher for every hour volunteered. The vouchers are redeemed with future contract. For example: You volunteer five hours in the Summer and earn five vouchers. Use the five vouchers in place of the $50 on the Fall contract.
How do I earn vouchers? By volunteering your time and submitting those hours to the Volunteer Coordinator.
What do I do with the vouchers? Up to five vouchers can be redeemed with each contract to reduce or eliminate the volunteer fee.
How many vouchers can I earn? Can I earn more than five vouchers during a contract period? You can earn as many vouchers as you want. If you volunteer more than five hours during a contract period, you can save the vouchers for the next contract.
Do I have to volunteer during every contract period? Not necessarily. If you know that you will be unable to volunteer in the Fall, you could volunteer ten hours during the Summer contract. You would receive ten vouchers – five for the Fall contract and five for the Winter contract.
How do I get the vouchers? When will I receive the vouchers? After volunteering, submit hours to the Volunteer Coordinator for tracking. Vouchers will be distributed each month.
What if I don’t have five vouchers when submitting a new contract? Use any vouchers that you do have and pay the remaining amount. For example, if you have three vouchers, submit the 3 vouchers ($30 in FSCBucks) plus $20 to equal the $50 volunteer fee.
I didn’t have five vouchers and ended up paying $20 with the most recent contract. I just volunteered two hours. Will I be reimbursed for the $20 that I paid? No, you will not be reimbursed the $20 but you will receive 2 vouchers that you can use with a future contract.
What if I don’t contract for a period? You are only responsible for the volunteer fee when you contract.
How long do I have to use the vouchers? Vouchers will expire one year from the date issued.
What if I lose my vouchers? Keep track of those vouchers. The vouchers do not have a unique identifier so we cannot be keeping accurate records of the vouchers issued and redeemed. Lost vouchers will not be replaced.
If my family has extra vouchers, can the vouchers be transferred to another family? No, vouchers are non-transferrable.
What do I do with my expired vouchers? Hang on to those vouchers! There will be a drawing at the annual banquet. Your unused expired vouchers will be your drawing slips. The more vouchers you have, the better your chances of winning prizes.
I’m a new Home Club member. Since I don’t have any vouchers, do I have to pay the $50 volunteer fee with my first contract? New Member Packets contain five vouchers to give the new families time to learn about volunteer opportunities.
I am an Associate member/Junior Club member. Can I earn vouchers? Absolutely. The vouchers can be saved in the event that you become a Home Club member before they expire or they can be entered into the banquet drawing.
When does the new program begin? The new program begins on June 1, 2008. We will begin accepting vouchers with the Summer contract.
If the program begins with the Summer contract, how do I get vouchers for the Summer contract volunteer fee? As a one-time special offer, five vouchers will be awarded to all families as an introduction to the new program.
