About Lorie

Lorie is an ISU Junior World & Junior Grand Prix Coach who has coached skaters to state, regional, national and international success. Her passion, dedication, continuing education and attention to detail allow each athlete to achieve their skating goals.

After a successful amateur competitive career, Lorie toured as a professional skater with the Ice Follies. She began coaching in Canada in 1981 where she had her first national and international competitors.

Since starting to coach full time in Minnesota in 2002, Lorie has continued to have success as a coach with skaters including:

  • Kate Charbonneau - 2009 Junior Ladies Canadian Champion, 2010 ISU Junior Worlds 6th place, JGP Silver medalist, 2006 US Intermediate Ladies National pewter medalist
  • Kiri Baga - 2009 US Novice Ladies National Champion, 2-time JGP Gold medalist, ISU Junior Grand Prix Final competitor, 2010 ISU Junior Worlds 7th place and 2010 US National Junior Ladies pewter medalist.
