The Figure Skating Club of Bloomington features experienced, and accomplished professional coaches who will help your skater reach their full potential. All coaches are members of the Professional Skaters Association (PSA) and have coached state champions, as well as regional and national competitors.
Kelly has been coaching for more than 20 years. An accomplished choreographer, Kelly has coached State Champions, as well as Regional and Junior National competitors. She is PSA rated for Registered Moves and Certified Freestyle.
Lorie has coached State Champions, Regional and National competitors, and two National Champions. She is PSA Master-rated in Freeskating and a PSA Level V National Ranked Coach. Lorie is a Figure Skating Gold Medalist and turned professional in 1982.
Chris Conte has been coaching and choreographing since 1992. One of the first U.S. coaches to utilize Dartfish video analysis software; he is renowned as one of the foremost specialists in video analysis, feedback and jump development. He holds a PSA level five ranking (international coach) and is the Director of Technical Development at the new Go4Gold Skating Academy in Bloomington, MN.
Rene has coached State Champions, as
well as Regional, Sectional and National competitors. She has coached skaters through U.S. Figure Skating Association Gold Tests,
and is a PSA Category A Coach. In addition, Rene is the Director of the Bloomington Ice Garden Skate School.
Sheila Thelen is the President and US & Canadian Patent Holder for Champion Cords, President & Designer of Champion Skating Harnesses, President of Champion Developmental Seminars & Creator of Champion Achievement Charms. Mary has coached State and Regional Champions, as well as Regional and National competitors. She is PSA-rated in Moves in the Field and Freestyle. Mary has been a Skate School instructor for more than 20 years and is the FSC of Bloomington Junior Club Coordinator.
Debbie Warne-Jacobsen is a National level figure skating coach and is a U.S. Figure Skating, and Professional Skater's Association Member Coach. She has coached Regional, Sectional and Minnesota State champions and medalists, U.S. National competitors and U.S. Figure Skating Gold Medalists.
Kate is the 2009 Canadian Junior Champion, a 6 time Minnesota State Champion, a Junior Grand Prix silver medalist (Croatia Cup) and 6 time competitor, a World Junior competitor, and competed in the 2010 Olympic trials where she placed 7th. She represented Canada through her competitive international skating career. Kate has skated for 21 years, taught Learn to Skate for 9 years, and private lesson coached for 5 years.
A Minneapolis native, Alana Christie was a competitive figure skater for fifteen years. She is a double gold medalist in both freestyle and moves in the field. After a dozen plus years as an accomplished freestyle skater, Alana skated two seasons for Team Braemar Junior where the team was the 2011 World Junior Bronze Medalists and the 2012 U.S. Synchronized Skating National Junior Champions.
Lisa Zamarripa works in classes and individually. Her services include strength, flexibility, and core stability training. Lisa will assess each athlete according to their individual needs, to improve and balance their over-all athletic performance.
